Where should we begin – there are so many bike tours! For example, the Meissner 8 (Northern Route). Take your bike and discover the region surrounding Meissen on almost 26km: the Lommatzscher Pflege and the Ketzerback Valley. Aside from the beautiful landscape, the Löthain Train Museum, the Germanic Cemetery in Promitz and the monastery ruins "Heilig Kreuz".
Our suggestion: The Saxon Elbe Bicycle Path is one of the most popular bicycle paths in Germany. The start of the almost 270km long route is in Saxon Switzerland. You'll bike past Dresden to the gentle hills of the Meissen Spaar Mountains and further through Torgau with its magnificent Castle Hartenfels all the way to Wittenberg, the city of Luther, and then on to Dessau-Rosslau.If you want to aim even higher: Take in the breathtaking panorama of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
